As the Principal of Lincoln, I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to you as we embark on an exciting new academic year. Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we are excited to have you as part of our vibrant and creative community.

At Lincoln, we take pride in being a School for the Arts, where we offer a rich array of programs in Music, Visual Arts, and Theater. Our commitment to nurturing creativity and artistic expression is at the heart of our educational philosophy. Our students have the unique opportunity to explore and develop their talents in these dynamic fields, preparing them for both academic and artistic success.

One of the highlights of our school’s artistic offerings is our acclaimed marching band unit. This enthusiastic group includes the band, majorettes, and a dance team, all of whom proudly demonstrate our Lion’s pride during the Mardi Gras season. Their performances are a testament to the spirit and dedication of our students and contribute to the vibrant culture of our school.

We are pleased to share that our recent performance on the Spring 2024 standardized tests showed a significant improvement, with our students' mastery percentage resulting in a higher letter grade of C. This progress reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing educational practices and supporting our students’ academic growth.

Looking ahead, a key focus for this year will be further improving literacy outcomes. We are dedicated to increasing the number of students reading at grade level through targeted initiatives and support. Your partnership in this effort is invaluable, and together, we can achieve great success.
